There are no credit score requirements to apply to American First Finance.
We are a “No Credit Needed4” company, and that means you may be approved even with a poor or no credit history. If you have no credit or poor credit, you may be approved, but we will check credit, even though credit score is not the sole consideration for qualification.

The three credit bureaus are Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.

All credit bureaus serve an important part of the credit reporting process. The three credit bureaus that many people may be familiar with are Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.

It varies, depending upon the type of information received. Generally, though, customers can see an update from the credit bureaus within 30-45 days.
American First Finance reports to the credit bureaus for all accounts except for new lease-to-own accounts opened on or after January 1st, 2024. American First Finance will continue to report to credit bureaus for any accounts opened before this day that were previously reported on.

A typical credit check is when American First Finance or another company views your history of credit, other accounts, and credit score with a consumer reporting agency, also known as a credit bureau.

“No Credit Needed4” means you may be approved for financing or leasing without a credit score or history. Even with poor or no credit, you can still qualify, but credit may be checked during the application. Your credit score is not the only factor in approval. Apply regardless of your credit history.

Our bank product is an installment loan repaid over time with fixed payments. The loan is underwritten, originated, and held by FinWise Bank, a Utah-chartered bank, Member FDIC. American First Finance provides service for you and your account on behalf of FinWise Bank.

The Early Payoff Discount (EPD) allows you to save the most by paying a discounted amount during the EPD period. This requires making larger payments than scheduled by the EPD expiration date. The EPD includes the amount financed, origination fee (if applicable), and applicable fees (late fees, NSF fees, state fees). Check your agreement for details. Note: This is not a “same-as-cash” program due to fees.

If you pay more than what you owe during the Early Payoff Discount period, we’re happy to refund you the balance you overpaid. You’ll receive your refund in the same method of payment you used.

Find your payment due date in My Account. To review your payment due date, click “Customer Login” and continue to log in.
Click on the “Account” card once you’re logged in. Clicking on the Account card will display your payment due date, the next payment due date, and the amount owed.
You can also schedule additional payments or add another payment method.

Act quickly if you suspect an issue. Call us at 855-721-1188 to start a claim. The identity theft form can be downloaded in English or Spanish. You can then email or mail it with all relevant details.
Be sure to:

We’ll review your form upon receipt and may request more information.
You’ll receive a decision letter within 30 days, but we aim to resolve claims as quickly as possible.

If you believe your credit report has inaccurate information, file a dispute online with credit agencies, or call them directly:
To file a dispute with American First Finance by mail, include details on the disputed info, reasons, and supporting documents. AFF will review and respond within 30 days.
